ISOLATED INSECURITIES INCREASE INDECISION. © Meshell Baker
As a person who’s been single all her life, I’ve found myself alone more often than not. For others it may be a symptom of not wanting to speak your truths or for fear of rejection. Whatever the reasons or rationale, extended periods of isolation are rarely a good thing.
We have been created as people who thrive in community. What transpires in a healthy system of relationships is encouragement throughout all stages of life. Wisdom is plentiful and repercussions are the rare occasion. Unfortunately, we live in a society that embraces an impossible standard of perfection & beauty that perpetuates insecurities.
From where you sit, that life dream may be too great a leap. No worries, a great first decision that helps with isolation and insecurities…Volunteering! Find someone or somewhere you can serve, something outside of yourself. Giving breeds friendliness and boost confidence. Give freely from what you’re good at and enjoy. Fortuitous favor will soon to follow!!
When was the last time you gave of your time & talents freely?
