Conforming Confines; Confounding Confirms! ©Meshell Baker

I have spent the last 2 weeks waylaid and sidelined by fatigue and illness.  Both mine and my sister’s.  None of which was remotely within my grasp of control.  Truly it has been a “whatever” can go wrong will experience.  Yet through ALL of this, my Faith continues to be made stronger.  While thoughts of falling behind, missing my opportunities and dreams deferred attempted to take up residence in my thoughts, I received a word of encouragement that kept me at Peace…CONFOUND THEM!

Blessed to understand the importance of seeking God’s Wisdom years ago, I’ve learned to ask in ALL things WHAT not WHY.  What is it I can/should learn from this situation?  The more challenging, difficult and uncomfortable the circumstances, I will become especially attuned to listen for the Lord’s learned lessons.  You see God loves to teach us when things get problematic.  You know, when you’re feeling stressed, confused or even hurt.  It is in these moments, where we are presented with the great opportunity of discovery.

You see pain, hurt, mistakes and failures are simply redirection.  God does not send text, emails or post on Facebook.  Well there are those moments of affirmation or confirmation, but that’s another topic.  What God does, is use our difficulties as attention grabbers.  What better time to develop and transform us, then when WE WANT things to stop or change.  Unfortunately for many this opportunity is lost in our reactions hurt feelings, reprisal or conformity.

But for those who want to learn, tune into Him.  Life’s challenges are simply your gifts of redirection to keep you on the path to receive your blessing of purpose.  Learn to stay faithful to the dream and vision placed in your heart REGARDLESS of what you see and feel.  Remember most situations and feelings are temporary distractions. It’s up to you to choose wisely to be either deterred or determined.  Your greatly gifted, incredibly insightful and wonderfully wise DREAMS are  awaiting You!
